The Cost Of Living

On the radio the other day, the government announced that it was putting a cap on the rises that train companies can put on their fares as they want to try and reduce the cost of living. This is not going to affect me in the slightest as I find it very hard to find a train that will take me to where I want to go, when I want to go at a reasonable cost.

The government have one easy way of reducing the cost of living for all of us, just reduce the amount of duty on petrol by about 5p a litre, it won't cost so much to fill your car up and you will have spare money to spend on other goods such as food and maybe even some luxury items, this may possibly keep some people in jobs reducing the tax payers burden..

And remember, if you don't have a car, this duty also affects you, if the duty is lowered, the cost of getting the goods to the shops is also lowered, this should mean cheaper prices. If this government is really serious about reducing the cost of living then they really need to look at the amount of money they take from the public as they seem to take more than all the rest put together.
